10 Years of GreenUp!

Ten years ago, GreenUp began with a challenge from the Umweltallianz. Since then, we have brought creativity and optimism to everything we do. We inspire people to act for sustainability and to live with fewer resources, at home and at work. We do this for the planet, and because a lighter, more connected life can also be a happier one. Our events and projects make that possible.

Our own projects

Climate Hub Davos

Every January, leaders from business, science, politics and civil society meet in Davos to find regenerative solutions together.

GoSimple
GoSimple helps households and individuals make regenerative living a habit, one small step at a time.

Davos community
Local events, workshops and projects bring people in Davos together and encourage them to act for regeneration.

Joint initiatives
CES Circle Graubünden
As part of Circular Economy Switzerland, we co-lead this initiative to advance the circular economy in Graubünden.

Regenerative Living 5.0
With AdvantiKA, we co-hosted the fifth Regenerative Living Zurich, a day of dialogue on regenerative business models, food systems and finance.

GreenUp for companies
Employee engagement programme
We bring teams together and help them build a regenerative corporate culture, starting with shared experiences.

GreenShare
GreenShare designs circular event concepts and turns leftover materials into resources for the community. We focus on Davos and are testing the model in Basel.

Our mission

GreenUp creates platforms that ignite and bring people and organisations together for tangible action — empowering them to support resource lightness and nurture the planet’s capacity to regenerate —  so that life can flourish now and for generations to come.

Our values

Independent

We are there for everyone. Free of religion, political party or other ideology. We work with everyone for as long as our goals are aligned.

Collaborative

We foster collaboration, build partnerships, and openly share knowledge wherever possible.

Positive

We are a “yes we can” community of doers, who communicate positively and focus on what is possible.

Hands-on

We’re all about “learning by doing.” We try new ways and methods—and yes, we sometimes fail, but it only makes us stronger.

Our approach

Change doesn’t happen in isolation. The systems that shape how we live, consume and organise evolve when individuals, communities, businesses and institutions move in the same direction.

That’s why we work both bottom-up and top-down towards a regenerative future - supporting both individual behaviour change and organisational transformation.

According to social tipping point research, when around 25% of people change their behaviour, system-level transformation becomes possible. As a result, our work focuses on engaging a broad audience to turn awareness into everyday action.

Our work is grounded in evidence from behavioural and climate science, and tested in the real world through practical, hands-on action.

Above all, our approach is positive and solution-focused, designed to turn awareness into empowerment rather than fear or overwhelm.

150+

sustainability projects, startups and organisations

have been empowered — from Pro Velo and Sharely to Impact Hub, Grassrooted and Fablab — to grow, connect and scale their impact.

14

local sustainability initiatives

have been launched and supported by our teams across multiple cities, including Stadtgarten Davos, Zero Waste Basel, Swap Ticino and GreenShare.

Thousands of attendees and hundreds of nature- and climate-based solutions

have come together since 2024 at our space Climate Hub Davos — transforming dialogue into collaboration and accelerating systems change.

Climate Hub Davos

is a regenerative impact space alongside the World Economic Forum’s Annual Meeting, bringing systems change into global economic dialogue. Through this and other curated platforms such as CES Graubünden, we catalyse cross-sector collaboration to accelerate the transition to a regenerative economy.
